What is A2P 10DLC Brand Registration

Any sort of traffic in which a person is receiving text messages from an application is known as A2P, or application-to-person messaging. Marketing messages, appointment reminders, chatbots or virtual assistants, notifications, and one-time passwords (OTPs) or PIN numbers are just a few examples of A2P messaging.

Standard US local phone numbers, which are 10 digits long (including the area code), are referred to as “10-digit long codes.” 10DLC brand registration is required by the carriers which permits application-to-person (A2P) SMS traffic over the long code phone numbers.

Why am I required to register

Starting March 1, 2023 US carriers require that all companies register their “brand” and the campaigns they intend deliver messages over to establish text traffic as an authorized delivery channel.  It’s the carriers’ method of ensuring that SMS-Texting remains a viable medium of communication when more companies, like yours, start messaging customers. By registering 10DLC numbers, it reduces spam likely notifications and improves deliverability, which will ultimately raise the credibility of your own messages with clients.

We understand time is of the essence however we are not in control of the carriers approval time lines which range up to a week. Therefore your prompt registration below is suggested to expediate the process, as we submit all registrations same business day. Brand registration is a non refundable $15.00 which was already included in your initial sign up. Subsequent submissions however for failed verifications are $15.00, so insure the information submitted below is accurate the first time. We have provided some helpful guidance within the form below, which you can copy from the fields to edit and customize.

  • Provide a secure website that represents your business. Registrations without a website, those that use websites that lack an SSL certificate to support the HTTPS protocol, and those whose websites display boilerplate content or templates are likely to be rejected. The website should include About Us, Contact Us, Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy pages. A website without these pages may not be considered compliant.
  • Provide a working phone number — preferably, the same one mentioned on your website’s contact or support page. TCR may attempt to verify the authenticity of this phone number.
  • Provide a working email address — preferably, the same one mentioned on your website’s contact or support page. A personal email address from a provider like Gmail or Yahoo or one from a disposable domain is likely to result in your brand registration being rejected.

During the brand registration process you will be allocated 100 messages for testing and set up. Once your brand had been registered and approved with the carriers you will then be granted unrestricted delivery on their respective networks.

Alternatively if you are an individual and do not have a company registered with your state you can utilize our Ringless Voice Messaging for reaching your mobile customers in bulk.
